BOTCHED

By Colleen Osborn

Botched is a dark and absurdist comedy that explores the polarized debate on abortion. The play follows the parallel journeys of two women, JULIE and BB (BotchedBaby34). One who had an abortion eighteen years ago (JULIE); another, the surviving ‘botched’ fetus all grown up who searches for her birth mother (BB). BB’S dolls come to life and serve as a chorus and sometimes assume roles of characters both women come across. Botched examines the exploitation of the BB character in a circus-freak show atmosphere.
